First visit to the site as researching whether guinea pigs would be suitable pets for our family. Very impressed with the information available. Also the obvious love and effort that you put into caring for these beautiful creatures and finding their forever homes. Keep up the good work and all the best.

I just wanted to say a belated but huge thank you to Joanne and all the Milhaven team for taking in my 5 babies and finding them new forever homes. Sadly a change in living arrangements meant I could no longer keep them but my pair of girls (Hope & Harmony) and pair of boys (Dudley & Dylan) have been found loving new homes and my single boy (Pringle) has now found a little friend and I'm sure they will find their forever home together soon with all of your help. It broke my heart to let them go but knowing they were going somewhere so loving made it that little bit easier. A HUGE thank you once again and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to post this with all the stress of moving :( The second I get sorted with a new job there's a huge donation on it's way to you guys :)
    Tracie xx

It's a truly wonderful thing you are doing and you are so close to us too. We have guinea pigs of our own which are looked after and loved. We will have to come and see you little piggies and we may be able to help you by re homing a couple of them and of course donating to your establishment.

I have really enjoyed looking at this site and seeing all the amazing piggies. I have been looking at the list of fresh food that is recommended and was surprised to see some things that I did not know could be given to ie greens and radishes. I have rabbits and guinea pigs, I buy greens for the rabbits but thought they were not suitable for piggies. There are so many different food lists that one does not know which to believe and it is great to get a list from someone who actually keeps the animals and knows what can be fed to them. I will certainly be back here to have another look at all the gorgeous piggies.

I can't wait to meet my new pets- Nervada and Kansas, from the rescue! I'm so pleased to be helping some more Piggies to enjoy a forever home! I wish that more people knew about Rescues and the fantastic work that they do, and the importance of all animals- little and large- especially Rabbits and Guinea Pigs, rather than being able to buy none rescue pets so easily and often being given little knowledge about them! Well done Joanne and thank you!

Wow thank you Joanne, so pleased with Salvador and Zack. The two piggies were a present for our granddaughter Marya's 3rd birthday, to be kept at Grannies. Both boys seem really at home in the lovely hutch we got from you, already out and about and eating cauliflower and apple. We have nothing but admiration for the hard work and commitment you put in to help the piggies. Thank you Joanne so much.

    Emma & Andrew (Saturday, 31 January 2015 11:27)

Joanne spent over 4 hours of her Saturday providing a piggie dating service for us to find a suitable friend for our existing group of 4 pigs. We rescue a pig every year and little Taz who we adopted from Joanne at Milhaven has by far settled in the easiest, largely due to the care, time and attention Joanne spent finding a good match. I would definitely recommend rescuing pigs from Milhaven based on our 5 star experience. Thanks to Joanne you do an amazing thing by rescuing and rehoming pigs.

Obviously rescue is the same all over the world!. Visiting York from Wee Companions in California. Checked out local rescues and found this one was the closest, but its quite a drive so likely won't be able to pop over for a visit. Keep up the good work, the piggies need your devotion and care. Thank you for caring enough to make a difference.
